The undisputed super middleweight championship clash between Franchon Crews-Dezurn and Savannah Marshall has been elevated to the main event of the July 1st card in Manchester, England. Originally slated as the co-feature for the Liam Smith-Chris Eubank Jr. fight, the change came about due to the postponement of Smith-Eubank Jr. by BOXXER.
For Crews-Dezurn (8-1, 2 KO), this will mark her first defense of the undisputed title, having claimed it in April 2022 with a unanimous decision victory over Elin Cederroos. Meanwhile, Marshall (12-1, 10 KO) will be seeking redemption after her loss to Claressa Shields in their middleweight title fight last October, which marked her first defeat. Notably, this bout will be Marshall’s first at the weight since 2019 and her second consecutive undisputed title fight.
Adding to the excitement, a second women’s title fight is set to take place on the same night. Unified junior middleweight champion Natasha Jonas will square off against an opponent yet to be announced, further elevating the profile of this stacked card.
