DAZN Adjust their pricing to cater for both MMA and Boxing fans with big savings and pay as you go

True fight fans have scored a knockout with DAZN‘S new pricing. Under the new structure committed subscribers will save 20% off the already ridiculously low price. Fans that want big fights and no commitment now have the freedom to watch 2 to 3 big fights and more for $19.99 and cancel at anytime. To give you an idea, if someone signs up for a month on May 4th they get to see both Canelo vs Jacobs live from Vegas and Joshua vs Miller in New York along with all the other fights and sport for $19.99. Under the old system this would cost a minimum of $150 for the 2 fights alone. Since DAZN’s U.S. launch, the platform has collected a robust portfolio of combat sports from Matchroom Boxing, Bellator MMA, the World Boxing Super Series, Combate Americas, Golden Boy Promotions and GGG Promotions. Offering more than 100 fight nights a year, DAZN delivers international superstars including Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua and Gennady Golovkin to their subscribers without charging fans for one-off events. In late March, DAZN will launch ChangeUp, a nightly MLB whip-around show featuring live look-ins of the best action from around the league – every big play, every day. To further amplify their value to consumers, they will debut the DAZN annual pass for $99.99. For the price of one evening’s pay-per-view, subscribers will have access to an entire year of live sports, archived classic fights and original programming. Over the course of the year, their service will average out to just over $8 a month – unrivalled value within the industry. While our data indicates that most of our existing and new subscribers will prefer the annual option, we recognising that some fans prefer flexibility over longer-term value. And for that reason, DAZN will maintain a monthly payment option, priced at $19.99. To best illustrate the value of the monthly option, imagine if you sign up for DAZN on May 4. In addition to live MLB action each day, subscribers will have access to Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Jacobs, the semifinal of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix, Anthony Joshua’s U.S. debut at Madison Square Garden and much more – all for a fraction of one pay-per-view fight night. These updates will take effect March 25. Pricing for existing subscribers will be grandfathered for one year.
