Super middleweight boxer Edgar Berlanga is making his Matchroom and DAZN debut on June 24, where he will go up against Irish fighter Jason Quigley in the main event at the Hulu Theater in New York.
After parting ways with Top Rank, the 25-year-old Berlanga signed with Matchroom after receiving offers from various other promoters, including Golden Boy. The Puerto Rican-American has an impressive record of 20 wins, 16 of which were KO’s, and is looking to continue his undefeated streak in his new promotional home.
31-year-old Quigley has a record of 20 wins, with 14 KO’s, and 2 losses. While he may not have as many wins as Berlanga, he has faced tough opponents in the past, including Tureano Johnson and Demetrius Andrade. Quigley is looking to make a comeback after losing his last fight against Andrade in a middleweight title fight in 2021.
It will be interesting to see how Berlanga performs in his first Matchroom and DAZN fight, and whether Quigley can bounce back from his recent loss. Boxing fans can look forward to an exciting match from two talented fighters.
