Professor Richard H. McLaren will announce the final phase of his examination of international boxing at a live press conference and Zoom webcast on June 20, 2022. This last phase of the investigation examined the activities of those involved in the governance and administration of AIBA during and after the presidencies of CK Wu and Gafur Rakhimov .
He will also report on the use of AI to screen referees and referees and the results of a survey of national federations.
Professor McLaren was appointed by the International Boxing Federation (AIBA) in June 2021 to investigate possible refereeing irregularities and corruption during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and into 2021.
