The Fighting Pride of Éire, Michael “Mick” Conlan will make his annual St. Patrick’s Day Pilgrimage to the “The Mecca of Boxing”on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, as he faces off against hard-charging veteran Belmar Preciado in a 10-round Featherweight clash.
This will mark the sixth MSG appearance for Conlan (13-0, 7 KOs), where his legions of Irish fans have packed the rafters in his “home away from home”, creating one of the most energetic and memorable atmospheres in the sport. Since turning pro in front of a sold-out crowd at The Garden in 2017, he has graduated from top prospect to No. 1 contender. He will look to continue his march to a World Title against Preciado (20-2-1, 13 KOs) when he steps into The Garden’s famed Boxing ring.
In a special co-feature, unbeaten U.S. Olympic star Mikaela Mayer (12-0, 5 KOs) will face her toughest test to date when she faces off against former Featherweight World Champion Melissa Hernandez (23-7-3, 7 KOs).
