Rising middleweight contender Yoenli “Yoyo El Diablo” Hernandez (8-0, 7 KOs) is set to make his next appearance on Saturday, October 12, facing veteran Carlos Mohamed Rodriguez (16-14-1, 7 KOs) in a 10-round main event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Hernandez, ranked No. 4 by The Ring at 160 pounds, is fresh off an impressive 10-round unanimous decision win over Kyrone Davis on May 31 in Las Vegas, where he outlanded his opponent 217-40 in a dominant performance. The 28-year-old Cuban power puncher has recently trained alongside superstar Canelo Alvarez, providing high-level sparring in preparation for Alvarez’s September 13 showdown with Terence Crawford.
“I’m excited to get back in the ring and show fans why I’m one of the top middleweights in the world,” Hernandez said. “Rodriguez is a tough opponent, but I’ve been working hard and I’m ready to put on a show.”
Rodriguez Looks to Build Momentum
Carlos Mohamed Rodriguez, coming off a knockout victory over previously unbeaten Mason Dickinson in October 2024, aims to continue his resurgence in the middleweight ranks. Despite a 16-14-1 career record, Rodriguez has shown he can rise to the occasion when it matters most.
Co-Main Event: Lightweight Clash
The co-main event features undefeated lightweight Armando Martinez Rabi (16-0, 15 KOs) taking on Willmank Canonico Brito (13-8-2, 11 KOs) in another 10-round bout. Martinez Rabi, known for his relentless pressure and knockout power, looks to continue his perfect run, while Brito hopes to pull off a career-defining upset.
Fans can expect an exciting night of boxing action as Hernandez returns to the ring in a high-stakes middleweight showdown.
